It is with our deepest sorrows to inform you that Anthony (Tony) Leonard Fortier, a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend of Innisfil, ON, died unexpectedly on September 7, 2019 at the age of 57.
Tony is survived by his wife, Patricia Snow; his children, Jamie and Tara Fortier-Stone (husband Lucas) and Paul Webster (wife Audrey) and Shannon Chapman (husband Jason); his grandchildren, Beauden, Jacob and Madeleine; his sister, Soleira Green (husband Santari); his brother, Geoff Fortier (wife Kathy); his nieces Wendy Fortier and Lori Lalonde (husband Gregg); his nephew, Andrew Fortier (wife Shannon) and his great nephews and nieces, Reagan, Kaelan, Irelyn, Leighton, Blake and Nash.
Tony was born in Brockville on May 15, 1962 to Jamie and Marion Fortier. He worked as a Cable Repair Technician at Bell Canada for 35 years. With a passion for sports and music as demonstrated in his involvement with hockey, baseball and in his band (Mid Life Crisis). He was a charismatic, talented, fun-loving, kind-hearted man and was known by many as “Rockstar”. This nickname is characteristic to Tony as a man who would light up the room and all our spirits and hearts. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, fur baby Jager and all who knew him.
A visitation at 3:00 p.m. and funeral service at 4:00 p.m. is scheduled on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at The Innisfil Funeral Home (7910 Yonge Street, Innisfil; www.innisfilfuneralhome.ca). Reception to follow at The Stone Grille Restaurant (7975 Yonge Street, Innisfil; www.thestonegrille.ca).
