We loved him a lot, but God loved him more.
They say there is a reason,
They say that time will heal,
But neither time nor reason
Will change the way we feel,
For no one knows the heartache,
That lies behind our smiles.
No one knows how many times
We have broken down and cried.
We want to tell you something,
So there won't be any doubt,
You're so wonderful to think of
But so hard to be without.

It is with heavy hearts that we must announce the untimely passing of our dear Cory in his 28th year, in Toronto, Ontario with his beloved father by his side. We are thankful that he had family with him.

Cory was a quiet happy boy. He loved being outside from a young age swimming, playing soccer and football and had a passion for dirt bike riding. He made a lot of friends through sports. He grew into a smart and handsome young man with a big heart who always cared about his family and friends. He always liked to make people laugh. He will be remembered and cherished for his sense of humour, his contagious laugh and his compassionate and caring nature. He was always there to help a stranger, a friend and family. He was truly a sweet and smart son, a protective and proud brother, a special uncle and an adventurous and affectionate grandson.

Cory was the guy anyone could talk to, could strike up a conversation easily and lend a listening ear to others in need. He was a hardworker and enjoyed hands on learning.  Fence building, granite installation in high level real estate, woodworking and mechanics were a few of the positions he held and was always open to trying and learning new things. He was passionate about the how and why things worked. Cory’s true passion was dirt bike riding which he started at a young age which ignited his fearless attitude.

Although his body is no longer on earth, his heart and soul will live on forever through the people who love him and miss him forever. It was a true blessing to know him and to love him.

Cory is survived by his grandmother Gloria Chatterton, grandmother (Nonna) Virginia Civiero, father Keith Chatterton, mother Sandra Chatterton, sisters Nicole Mercanti and Kristen Chatterton, uncle to Charles, Isabella and Carter.  Predeceased by his baby brother Justin, grandfather Michael Chatterton, grandfather (Nonno) Giovanni Civiero.
