Dick Worgan

With deep sadness, the family of Dick Worgan announces his passing after complications from a fall on his Birthday. Dick was the second son of Margaret Watson and Ralph Worgan of Thistletown, ON. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy (nee Watt) 1924, father of Judy (Steve) Gilbert, Bob (Rosalind) Worgan, deceased 2018 and Alan Worgan deceased 2019. Grandfather of Kate Henderson, Matthew (Ania) Gilbert, Erin (Jenna) Worgan, Evan Worgan and Maverick Worgan, Dear Great Grandfather of Lauren and Jackson Henderson and Leo Gilbert, uncle of David and Ian Constable.

He will be deeply missed by his younger sister Joy Cooper and special friend Manon Vanier.

He began facing health challenges over the summer, but was able to recover each time, return to his beloved condo and be Dorothy’s primary care giver until November when his own health began to fail.

Dick was very determined to reach 100 years of age this year. He and Dorothy would have celebrated their 75th Anniversary this coming May.

We are so proud of him!

He will be cremated, as he wished and interred this coming Spring at St Peter’s Church Cemetery in Churchill ON.

He will be fondly remembered and sorely missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the cemetery at St. Peter's Anglican Church.
