Douglas "Wayne" Shannon

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of (Douglas) Wayne Shannon, of Innisfil, in his 71st year on Saturday, March 15, 2025.

His life was filled with family, friends, beers, horseshoes and loud music in the backyard.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Donna Darlene Taylor; Sister Karen Shannon, Brother (Robert) Scott Taylor; Daughter Nicole Shannon (Daughters Ashley Downes and Morgan Wheeler) and Sons Robert and Jason Shannon; Grandfather of 10 and Great Grandfather of 4. Son of the late Harold Shannon and Joan Robertson Shannon Taylor.

As per Wayne’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no funeral service will be held. Wayne’s celebration of life may take place at a later date.

We cannot grieve forever; he would not want you to. His hope would be that we all carry on happy and smile when we think of him.
