Gary Bruce Matson

Matson, Gary Bruce - Passed away suddenly and peacefully with his family by his side, at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie, Ontario, on Saturday, April 25th, 2020 at the age of 64.  Gary, beloved husband of Alice (nee Topliss) for 40 years. Loving Dad of Janis (Larry) Brunton, Maureen Matson (James Snetsinger), Laura Matson and Derek (Tyffany) Matson.  Proud Grandad of Regan, Luke and Piper. Dear brother of Barbara (Phil) Bailey and the late Keith Matson. Predeceased by his parents Eric and Helen Matson, and beloved Aunt Nora. Gary will be fondly missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. Gary was second generation in the family automotive business. He proudly owned and operated Mac Mat Leasing and Sales in King City and Bolton.  Gary cherished and loved the time spent with Alice and his family at Lake Simcoe and Whitefish Lake residences. He loved traveling to hot destinations and was an avid Toronto Maple Leaf and Argo fan. Gary was often heard singing his favourite oldies and the last one to leave the dance floor. Gary will always be remembered as the life of a party! Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
