Ian Russell 1939-2018 I was born in Grand-Mere, Quebec, October of 1939. And moved to Toronto just before the end of World War II. Grew up in T.O. and left in 1959 to go the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario. I graduated with majors in Psychology and English in 1962. My goal was to pursue a career writing advertising copy. I researched many schools and literally talked my way into the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University in Evanston, lllinois. Just north of Chicago. Medill was considered by many to be the best journalism school in the country. I received my Masters degree in Journalism in 1964. And then moved, with my wife, to accept my first advertising agency job. Welcome to New York City. From there we moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where our son, Morgan Lewis, was born in Magee Women's Hospital in 1967. And right from the hospital crib, we all moved back to Chicago. While in Chicago, we adopted a 16-day old daughter, Hawley Grace, who was born in Rockford, Illinois. And then we moved to the Saunter farm on the Fourth Line of lnnisfil Township next to Churchill. The graveside service will be held in the spring at the Sixth Line Cemetery on the west side of Hwy #11 (Yonge Street) just south of Barrie, Ontario. Keeping in mind that this is a joyous occasion, a limited amount of beer will be available to my friends and the accompanying celebrants. Finally, love to my best friend and staunch supporter, my sister "Jude.” And many thanks and best wishes to my friend and mentor, "Dr. B." In lieu of flowers please direct donations to the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family by visiting www.innisfilfuneralhome.ca
