Joan Lesley Maxwell

Joan Lesley Maxwell, passed away peacefully at Royal Victoria Hospital in her 79^th year on April 4^th, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones.  

Joan was a dedicated wife to the late Anthony (Tony) Maxwell. She was an incredible mother to her children, Sonya (Peter & children), Dawn, Stephen, Judy (Bill) and Susan.  She was adored by her Grandchildren, Jason (Niki), Ryan (Amanda), Holly (Jake) and Brandon (Julia) and her precious Great Granddaughters, Maisie and Robyne.  

With a strong love for animals, Joan dedicated her career life to working with horses as an Equine Midwife, helping to deliver some of the industry’s finest Thoroughbred Racehorses.  

She was witty and wise and always knew how to make anyone smile.  

Her passing is a huge loss and will be dearly missed by her family and community.
