HARVEY, Joanne Lynn (nee PEER) – It is with profound sadness that the family of Joanne Lynn Harvey announces her passing on Friday February 9th, 2018 at the age of 72. Joanne passed away peacefully with her daughter at her side. She is survived by her loving husband Brian, her children Laura (Joseph DeGuilio), Jason (Shannon) and her treasured grandchildren Justin, Brooke, Ainsleigh, Brett and Abby.  Also survived by her siblings Janice Chester (Carl), Robert Peer, Jamie Peer (Susie), brother-in-law John Harvey, by her many nieces and nephews and by her beloved dog Bud. She is predeceased by her parents Robert and Margaret Peer (nee Tristram), her sister Patricia Sweeney, and nephew Clinton Chester. Joanne was born and raised in Toronto where she met the love of her life, Brian at the age of 14. They married in 1966, sharing 51 devoted years together. They recently moved to Innisfil, Ontario to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Joanne worked for and was a beloved member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #66 where she enjoyed role as a bar steward and formed many lifelong friendships. At Joanne's request cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at the INNISFIL FUNERAL HOME on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Ontario SPCA.
