Jorge Alberto Jaramillo Portugal

Passed away peacefully to be with the Lord at the age of 88 Surrounded by his family on Tuesday January 16^th, 2024 at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, ON

Jorge Jaramillo was born in Quito Ecuador on July 22nd 1935. 
Jorge was a hard working man who moved to Toronto, Canada in 1972 from Guayaquil Ecuador to look for a better future for his family.

Jorge was a devoted husband to Norma Aurora Quevedo and a loving father to Olga Patzan (Pablo) Leonardo (Esther Abigail) David Johnny( Linda) Mario-diseased (Aley) Jose (Sugey), Luis (Shadira) and Danny Jaramillo (Viviana). Grandfather of Evelyn, Alyssa, Crisseyda, Kevin, Rebecca, Mario, Emmanuel, Jacob, Daniela, Emely, Diego, Natalia, Diella, Rosemary, Mathew and Xaritza Jaramillo. An exceptional Great-Grandfather to: Ethan, Joseph, David, Vlario, Liam, Allessia, Milovany and baby Aleny.

Jorge was a faithful servant of God who dedicated most of his life to serve God and his people in different churches in the North York Community. 

Jorge was also well known among the Hispanic Churches in Toronto for his musical talent, mainly in the mid 70’s and late 90’s. Jorge was an exceptional Acoustic guitar player who enjoyed worshipping God through writing and singing Latin American Christian Boleros, along with his family.
 
Jorge will be remembered by all of his family and friends for his loving and compassionate heart.
