Karen Lynn Jessup

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Karen Lynn Jessup at home surrounded by family on April 21, 2025. Beloved wife of Murney for 47 wonderful years. Devoted mother to Carrie-Ann (predeceased) and Wesley (Samantha). Proud grandmother to Krandakle (predeceased 2019), Sharmayne, Jaden, Ashlynn, Raulind, Devon, Bree-Ann, Harlee, Liviann (predeceased 2021), Kyra, Victorya, Trinity, Rachel, and Graham. Great-grandmother to Layla, Astro, and Atlas. Predeceased by parents Robert and Helen Gagnon. Dear sister to Roberta, Joe (Brenda), Bill, Kim (Mike), and Robert.

Karen was born and raised in Peterborough where she met the love of her life, Murney and welcomed Carrie-Ann. Together they moved out west where Karen managed a local coffee shop. After welcoming Wesley into the family, they decided to move back to Ontario where Karen worked managing the Dairy Queen in Barrie for many years.

Karen was welcoming to all and had a big heart, often treating the friends of her children like they were her own. Through many of the trials life sent her way, Karen was always determined to come out on the other side. Her strength and resilience will carry on through all those who were lucky enough to know her.

Friends and family will be received at the Innisfil Funeral Home, 7910 Yonge Street, Innisfil, on Sunday, April 27 from 11am until the time of service in the Chapel at 1pm. Cremation to take place.
