Margaret Elaine Courneyea

COURNEYEA, Margaret Elaine (née Lloyd) - Passed away peacefully at Roberta Place Long Term Care in Barrie Ontario, on November 26, 2021 at the age of 84 after a courageous battle with dementia. Margaret was the beloved wife of the late Wilfred Courneyea. Mother of Michael Courneyea and LeeAnne Hanchett. Loved by her Grandchildren Ethan and Shunelle Courneyea. Sister of William (Bill) Lloyd. Step-sister of Heather, Charlene, BettyAnne, Gary, Kathy, Sharon, Gail and Frank Jr., Loving niece of the late Ivan Graham. Margaret was an active woman who spent her career as a Mary Kay Cosmetic Director for over 40 years. She was full of spunk and fire and she always showed elegance. She loved entertaining friends and family, her home was always open for a visit. Margaret loved working in her gardens; she was a fantastic cook and made the best pies. She will be dearly missed by extended family and friends and all who knew her. The family would like to thank the nurses and PSW’s at Roberta Place for their exceptional care and compassion during mothers last few days. Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
