Mark Anderson Yetman

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our brother, Mark Anderson Yetman. 

 Mark, at just 61 years young, died on November 2, 2024, surrounded by family at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie.

 Mark grew up in Aurora where he lived most of his life. For many years, he was a valued custodian with the York Region District School Board, retiring after more than 30 years. He had just begun to enjoy a well-deserved retirement at the beginning of this year, with gardening plans for his new home in Innisfil, when he became ill. His true loves included the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Toronto Blue Jays, and his nieces and nephews that he showered with attention. 

 Mark was predeceased by his parents, Fay Constance Yetman (nee Newman) and Cyril Yetman. He is survived by his siblings: Sandra (Ray), Pamela (Andy), Susan (Greg), Earl (Kim), Katherine (Bruce). He will also be missed by his nephews and nieces: Paul, Stephen (Melissa), Matthew (Stephanie), Andrew (Jeanine), David (Lauren), Kyle, Michael, Aislinn (Robert), Hayden and Madison, along with his many great nieces and nephews. Mark is also survived by aunts and uncles: Suzy Newman, Marcia Blosser (Gerry) and Neville Newman (Margaret), Larry Yetman (Doris) and multiple cousins in Newfoundland, Ontario and the US. 

 We’ll always remember playing as kids in Aurora, from riding bikes, playing Hide & Seek on Ottawa Court, and hiding in the trees while playing Nicky Nicky Nine Doors on the neighbours. Rest in peace, Brother. 

 Cremation has taken place, and we’ll say our final goodbyes to Mark on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Innisfil Funeral Home. A gathering with light refreshments commences at 12:00 p.m. with a memorial service starting at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Innisvale Cemetery & Crematorium where he will be laid to rest.
