Peter Michael Chitty

Peter Chitty passed away peacefully at home at the age of 81 on January 17th surrounded by family and dear friends. He has been reunited with his late wife, Marlene Campbell.

He was a beloved brother to Karen, father to Michael, Lisa and Mitzi, a hero in the eyes of his grandchildren Logan, Evan and Lilyana, and a dear friend to so many.

Peter joined the air force at a very young age, and in 1969 joined the North York fire department where he served an accomplished career of nearly 28 years.

Peter fought a 35 year battle with cancer with true grit like no other, but sadly succumbed to the disease.

Peter’s love of music lead him to open his home to host accomplished bluegrass, country and folk bands for concerts in an intimate setting.

He is and will be truly missed.
