Ronald Edward Hazelwood

It is with great sadness that our family announces the peaceful passing of Ron Hazelwood on Sunday, November 7th, 2021 at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, Ontario at the age of 75.

Ron is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Dawn, son Lee, daughter Rhonda, grandchildren Rebecca, Jordan, Bryce, Cassady, and Alexander, five brothers Bill, Rick, Miles, Larry, Clifford, two sisters Debbie and Darlene as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Ron, born August 17th, 1946 in Schumacher, Ontario, eldest son to Edgar and Daisy Hazelwood, raised a family in Porcupine, Ontario until they moved to Barrie in 1996.  Ron loved family, boating, cars, cooking, gardening, and Toronto Maple Leaf hockey games when they were winning.  He was a loving, charismatic, fun, and friendly person who had a big heart.  He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and love him.

Ron’s wish was cremation.  A small drop-in Memorial service will be held on Friday, November 19th from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the home of Rhoni Hazelwood, 1109 Westmount Ave., Innisfil, Ontario L9S 4Z4.  Please RSVP to rhonihaz@yaoo.ca or text 705-279-6769.
