Ursola (Lena) Elizabeth Banavage (nee Calleja) Born: Pawla, Malta, June 4, 1926 Died: Barrie Ontario, May 7, 2017 Passed away peacefully at the Grove Park Home in Barrie on Sunday May 7th, 2017 at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Francis Banavage. Predeceased by her parents Paul and Mary Calleja. Loving mother of Charles (Nancy), Noel (Darlene), Fred (Debbie), George (Anne) and Tyrone (Dawn). Dear grandmother of Kim (Joel), Emily (Stephen), Adam (Billy), Meg, Trevor, Becca (Andrew), Jason (Kaitlin), Jessica, Olivia, Adrianah, Liam and Rowan. Great-grandmother of Rome Banavage and Baby Rodgers. Sister of Frank, Charlie, Tony all in Canada; Alice and Dolly in Australia; Joseph and Freddie in Malta. Predeceased in infancy by Gennie, Lori (Lawrence), Joseph and Noel. The family wishes to thank the staff of Grove Park Home for their loving care of our dear mother. Friends may call at the Innisfil Funeral Home (7910 Yonge Street, Stroud) on Monday from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. Service in the chapel to follow at 11:00a.m. Interment will be held at Pine Hills Cemetery 625 Birchmount Road, Toronto at 3:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Grove Park Home.
