Victoria (Vickie) Diceman

October 27, 1966 — March 8, 2017

DICEMAN, Victoria June. On Wednesday March 8, 2017 the City of Barrie lost a downtown social butterfly and her family lost a bubbly, happy, sweet soul. Victoria June (Pickles) Diceman was born in Newmarket on October 27, 1966, exactly two minutes before her twin sister Valerie. They were welcomed into the family by their much older sister, Cathie (Glen). Five years later Vickies little brother Dougie (Sonya) was born and a few years after that her other brother Ted (Lindsay) became part of the family. Vickie became known as Aunt Pickles when her nieces and nephews were born. She was a proud Auntie who enjoyed watching Michelle, Gerry (Lindsay), Cameron, Chance (Mike), Chanelle, Tanner, Taylor, Breanna, Joseph, and Braydon all grow to be much taller than her. Only her great-niece Hadley is slightly shorter. Both of Pickles parents, Doug and Anne, passed away a short time ago and the family is comforted in the knowledge that the three of them are together again. Pickles had a great love for animals. Her furry friends, Mr. T, Klondike, Leah, Bea and Jackson will miss all the treats she gave them every twenty minutes. In her younger years, Pickles enjoyed being part of baseball teams and bowling leagues but as the years went on she focused on being an active member of the Barrie Strikers Bowling League. Pickles loved living in downtown Barrie because it allowed her to meet and talk to so many people, especially the bus drivers, parking officers and business owners. Pickles one of a kind personality will be missed by many friends, aunts, uncles and cousins, A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00a.m. on March 16 2017 at the Collier Street United Church 112 Collier St. Barrie. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to the Barrie Chapter of Big Brothers and Big Sisters in memory of Vickie.
